Induction sealing

A reliable seal protects your product from the production line all the way to the consumer. With induction sealing, VME applies an airtight, tamper-evident foil seal under the cap of jars, bottles and containers — contactless, hygienic and at high line speed. As the European distributor of Pillar Technologies, we supply not only the sealing systems but also the expertise to integrate them seamlessly into your line.

What is induction sealing?

What is induction sealing?
Induction sealing closes a package using a thin foil liner placed inside the cap. When the closed package passes under an induction head, an electromagnetic field generates heat in the foil, which then melts onto the rim of the package. The result is a hermetic, contactless seal — without flame and without direct contact with the product. This combines speed, hygiene and reliability on a single line.

The benefits

  • Tamper-evident: visible proof that the package has not been opened beforehand
  • Leak-free: a hermetic seal prevents leaks during transport and storage
  • Longer shelf life: protection against moisture, oxygen and contamination
  • Hygienic and contactless: no flame, no direct product contact
  • High speed: suitable for high line speeds and continuous production
  • Widely applicable: from small tubs to large jerrycans, in a range of materials

Applications and sectors

Applications and sectors
Induction sealing is used in the food, dairy, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and chemical industries — wherever product integrity is decisive. Think of yoghurt and dessert pots, sauces and pastes, oils and supplements, cosmetic jars, and agrochemical or industrial liquids in bottles and jerrycans. Even demanding caps such as FlipCaps and large containers are sealed reliably and repeatably.
